Learn about the native pinewood survey and why it is so valuable, plus, an option to receive practical training or a tour of Loch Arkaig.
Monday 5th March
Join us to hear from Professor Robert Bunce on the history and value of repeating the “Bunce” survey and the Woodland Trust plans to pilot the re survey at Loch Arkaig. This is an indoor session at Achnacarry Village Hall join us at 1pm for a light lunch and talk will be 2pm – 4pm.
Tuesday 6th March
Option one: Receive free training for survey practitioners from Prof Bob Bunce along with Dr Simon Smart and Claire Wood from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. This session will take place on site at Loch Arkaig.
Option two: Alternatively join Woodland Trust site Manager Steve Morris for a tour of Loch Arkaig and hear our plans for restoration. Limited places.
Wednesday 7th March
Final morning practitioner session.
